ABOUT
The artistic director of the school Smt. Sujatha Surendran, is a talented dancer, teacher & choreographer with high standard performances and achievements. She started her dancing career under her aunt and Guru Smt. Jaya Mani and further nourished under the Gurus MD. Venkatesh and K.N. Dandayuthapani pillai. Sujatha is a proud recipient of the Madras University degree and graduated in first class high distinction and received the title of “Natya Vishradha” from the Tamilnadu Government and had staged many performances in India & abroad. She has been teaching in Australia for the past 22 years and has a credit of 20 students who have completed their Arangetrams.
The school has been participating in many cultural programs throughout the year run by other schools and community organization thus encouraging and promoting our culture among enthusiastic students who come from diverse backgrounds. Sujatha has received 6 times consecutively the grant from Victorian Multicultural Commission in recognition of her services to the community. she has also received the Multicultural Award for excellence in 2015 by the Victorian Multicultural Commission for her meritorious service and exemplary commitment.
